Columbus State is proud to announce a historic philanthropic investment — $25 million from OhioHealth to support the college’s plan to double enrollment in the health sciences! We are grateful to OhioHealth for their trust in us and their belief in our incredible students.

Long a topic of concern, the nation’s healthcare workforce shortage will be felt more acutely in Columbus’ rapidly expanding metro area, making collaborative and effective strategies to grow the talent pipeline more important than ever.  OhioHealth’s transformational gift will establish an endowment to support the expansion and maintenance of Columbus State’s health sciences programs in perpetuity.  To further support this plan, Columbus State will:

• Direct $85 million in bond funding to construct a new 80,000-square-foot academic building – the OhioHealth Center for Health Sciences – and renovate Union Hall.
• Work to raise an additional $12 million in philanthropic support to provide students with scholarships and emergency support and equip labs with specialized equipment for medical simulation.
